CROSSWELL ELEMENTARY ... IS WILD ABOUT LEARNING FOR 2009 - 2010!
Please join in the fun as we get WILD about learning this year! Hang on to your safari hat while we explore the "jungles of learning". Come be a part of this expedition and we will all swing to success.

PTA and RELATED ARTS FESTIVAL!
Our PTA and Related Arts Festival will be Monday, March 22. We hope you will come out and enjoy the events!
5:30 - 6:30 p.m. PTA serving food ($3 plate - 2 slices of pizza, chips or cookie, and drink)
6:15 - 6:30 p.m. - gr. k-2 dancing demonstration in gym
6:30 - 6:45 p.m. - gr. 3 - 5 dancing demonstration in gym
6:45 - 7:00 p.m. - PTA general meeting to give annual update
7:00 p.m. - until - Musical performance by gr. 2 - 3
Artwork will be on display in the Art Room and hallway. Accelerated Reader information will be available in the Media Center. Join us for this special evening as we celebrate our students' artistic talents!
Please Note: Due to several recent requests, the PTA will be offering a volunteer training session at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 22. Don't miss this oppportunity to get initial training if you are a new volunteer or updated training if you have volunteered in the past. Remember, you must be volunteer trained and have a SLED check ($25) in order to chaperone field trips.

MARCH OF DIMES SPIRIT WEEK!
March 22 - 26 is March of Dimes (MOD) Spirit Week to rais awareness and funds to imporve the health of babies! Students can buy candy bars or glow in the dark MOD braceletes for $1. Students can also bring dimes to vote for the "cutest baby" by looking at baby pictures of our staff members. This will be available in the cafeteria from 7:20 - 7:50 each day that week.
Tuesday - Twins Day - Dress up like twins with a friend.
Wednesday - Purple Day - Wear purple. It is the new color for the March for Babies logo.
Thursday - Wear pink or blue for those boys and girls.
Friday - Wear MOD t-shirt or WILD orange t-shirt.

SCIENCE FAIR
The Science Fair was a huge success at Crosswell. Our fourth and fifth grade winners will go on to compete in the District Science Fair on Tuesday, March 23, with a reception that evening at the BJ Skelton Career Center from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Congratulations to all of our winners and good luck to our students competing in the district fair!

CENSUS IN 2010
March 22-26: Census in Our Schools Week
During the 2010 Census, you will have an opportunity to help empower and strengthen our community by providing basic information about your household on the census questionnaire.
